Our Junior Karting School is a great starting point to learn the ropes of karting. The karting school is open for kids aged between 10 – 15 (minimum height 4ft 8) and is a cheap, cost effective way to get started at just £50 for the first session. We provide all the equipment, from karts to suits and helmets while also providing an experience we hope you will remember forever. If you are looking at starting in karting, there is no better place to start.
The training school is aimed at introducing boys and girls into karting and teaching them driving skills, under the professional supervision of our marshals and experienced instructors. Whether you want to come along and try karting for fun or you have serious ambitions to become a racing driver, there is no better place to start. The first time the drivers come to us they will be classed as a novice regardless of previous experience. We focus on the safety elements, with a full safety briefing before driving the karts and a basic training exercise around cones. After the training exercise has been completed they will have 4 sessions around the full kart track.
For those who really enjoy the experience and want to come back, the driver can come in our Expert Sessions, which cost £50. We will focus on racing lines and increasing speed. Once we are happy with speed and racing lines we will do some practice races. When the driver meets all of our requirements we will sign them off as ‘ready to race’ in our championship. On average it takes 4 or 5 morning sessions to be up to speed to be signed off as ready to race. However if the driver has previous karting experience the chances are it will take a lot less time to get up to speed. We do occasionally get drivers good enough to be signed off the first time they come to us!
Entry into the Junior sessions can be purchased through the website or by giving the office a call on 01249 783 010. If you have any questions feel free to ask by emailing luke@drivetechltd.co.uk.
