Round 3 of the Castle Combe Junior Karting Championship took place on Sunday and saw a great entry of 23 drivers.
Ben Frankcom lined up on pole position, but Jake Holley was able to jump into to the lead from 2nd on the grid. Jake was able to keep the lead for the entirety of the race to take his first victory of the year, making it 3 different winners from 3 rounds. Ben Frankcom took 2nd place ahead of Jamie Watson. Luke Cridland was 4th, with Bertie Thomas in 5th after a great drive from 8th on the grid. Round 2 winner Luke Green took 6th, with Round 1 winner Ryan Taylor in 7th and George Taylor took 8th after a first lap incident.
The B Final was a great battle between Jack Elliott and Leo Bell, Jack held the lead initially before Leo Bell was able to find a way past. Leo then went on to set the fastest lap of the day.
Ellie Biddle lined up on pole for the C Final but was jumped off the line by Jago O’Neill. The two of them had a great battle which got extremely close with backmarkers, but Jago was just able to hold on to win.
The results mean Jake Holley now leads the way ahead of a three way tie for 2nd in the Championship.
