Pedro Oliveira took victory in Round 1 of the 2019 Castle Combe Junior Spring Karting Championship. He lined up on pole position, made a great start and set a number of fastest laps to pull away and take the victory. It was much closer for 2nd place as Donovan Dyer, Harrison Dunsden and Harry Taylor battled it out. Nobody was able to find a way past though and Donovan held on to take 2nd place ahead of Harrison Dunsden, with Harry Taylor taking 4th place. Billy Cockle started 4th, but fell back on the first lap, but took a safe 5th place in the end. Ian Zhang impressed in his championship debut making it into the A Final starting 7th and moving up into 6th place on the first lap passing Harrison Crook. Ian held 6th place for most of the race, but Harrison was able to find his way back through and take 6th place.
This event was the first time using a new format, where all of the drivers made it into a Grand Final. Evie Poulain finished the heats 8th on points and lined up on pole position for the B Final, which she drove brilliantly to pull away out in front and take victory. Brook Plank took 2nd place and Carter Young 3rd.
Ryan Taylor lined up on pole for the C Final and he was pushed all the way by Jack Gooding, but was able to hold on to take the victory, while Tom Cantwell took 3rd place.
